National Bank of Ukraine is the central bank of Ukraine. Its headquarters building, constructed between 1902 and 1934. On August 1, 1905, the building was completed and the bank's day-to-day business was transferred to it. The new building featured electrical lighting and ventilation and a central heating system. In 1933, when the capital of Ukraine was transferred from Kharkiv to Kiev, two more stories were added to the building to handle the growth.
House with Chimaeras or Gorodetsky House was built in the period of 1901-1902 by noted architect Vladislav Gorodetsky, who was regarded as the Gaudí of Kiev. Building has been used since 2005 as a presidential residence for official and diplomatic ceremonies. The "House with Chimaeras" derives its popular name from its ornate decorations depicting various scenes of exotic animals and hunting scenes, which were added because Gorodetsky was an avid hunter. The name does not refer to the chimaera of mythology, but to an architectural style known as Chimaera decoration in which animal figures are applied as decorative elements to a building. The building was erected between 1936-38 to a design by Volodymyr Zabolotny (Vladimir Zabolotny) in the neo-classical Ukrainian architecture style of the Stalin times. A hundred-ton glass dome over the main session hall is the building's most memorable feature. The red-and-blue Flag of Soviet Ukraine was flown on the dome's top for most of the Rada's history, until replaced by the yellow-and-blue national Flag of Ukraine following Ukraine's attainment of independence in 1991.
President Administration was built 1936-1939 by the project of Sergey Grigoriev. The building gas extremely wide walls because at 30th it was prohibited to build administrative buildings, so the walls were added to the basement of older building.

Philharmonic in Kiev was built by the project of Vladimir Nikolaev in 1882. Now this building has the best acoustic.
People's Friendship Arch - was constructed in 1982 for unification of Ukraine and Russia. The sculptor was A. Skoblikov and architect was I. Ivanov. The arch is located in the picturesque part Chreschaty with a panoramic observation of Kiev.
Child Puppet-show theater is a new building. It was constructed only in 2005. A beautiful colored glass flower shaped fountain is in front of the theater. Small monuments (which are very popular with tourist for taking pictures) surround the building. Don't skip your chance to take a funny photo under the steel hat which is hold by steel Papa Carlo (Father of Pinocchio).
