Till the beginning of 1994 this defense base had 176 missile complexes, which were armed with 130 missiles type PC-18 (CC-19) and 46 missiles type PC-22 (CC-24) with 1272 nuclear warheads.
The excursion consists of 2 stages: introduction about history of military forces inside and outside the museum and visiting of underground command post. You will sit in this command post and even will touch THE BUTTON that could cause a catastrophe if pressed during Cold War. After that you will look inside the powerfull SS-18 "Satan" Intercontinental Ballistic Missile equiped with up to 1o warheads. All guides are former military men who served at this base.

Tour Schedule:
- Pick up at your hotel or apartments usually at 8:00 a.m.
- Drive Kiev - Missile base
- Arrival to Museum. Meeting with the leadership of the museum - usually ex officer of the missile base.
- Update on the history of the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile base of ICBM silo launcher in a pavillion with many exhibits.
- Sightseeing of the premices of the base including passage through 150 meters long underground corridor.
- Take a lift 12 floors down to the bottom of the Unified Launch Control Center. (Lift can barely fit three people so with a big group it might take time for everybody to take it).
- Visit rest area for the officers and climb one floor up to the control center - where the lounching equipment with "THE BUTTON" was located.
- Look at the guards bunkers, silo's lead, trucks and impressive SS-18 "Satan" Intercontinental Ballistic Missile.
- On the way back to Kiev we make a stop for lunch at one of the cafes. Arrival back time around 05:00 p.m.
