The countdown clock to EURO-2012 will be mounted in Kiev

Kiev city authorities decided to launch the countdown clock on 8^th June, which will count hours left to the beginning of EURO 2012. On the 27^th May the clock installation works started near the entrance to the Kiev city hall. 8,5 meters wide and 2,5 meters high electronic screen will be mounted on the 3,5 meters high stage. Total height of the construction will be 6 meters high and weight will be 1,5 tons. The clock will be launched on 8^th June at 7 pm (Kiev time), exactly one year before the EURO – 2012.

As it was officially announced, EURO 2012 will be hosted by Ukrainian cities: Kiev, Lviv, Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk; and Polish cities: Warsaw, Gdansk, Wroclaw and Poznan. The championship will he held since 8 June till 1 July.
